They prevent the wire rope from being damaged by friction wear. Adding these protective sleeves will make it easier to stretch cable through posts and also help to maintain proper cable tension

Clean Finished Look - The protector sleeves can cover the ragged holes after drilling and create a clean look, adding a nice touch to the overall look of your deck railing. The package includes a matching drill bit to help you drill holes easily
